Myanmar or Burma as it was formerly called is absolutely stunning, a photographic delight and one of my favourite countries in the world. The people are absolutely charming and you will meet many during our 12-day trip where you will take some of the most superb pictures you will ever take in your life.

You will photograph magnificent temples, monks and nuns of all ages in their colourful robes of red and pink. See the dawn rise and set over the shimmering temples of Bagan and dawn and dusk at the U-bein Bridge and Inle Lake. Enjoy a photo session with the unique one-legged boat rowers on the lake, see rich and colourful markets with vendors from different ethnic tribes.  Visit colourful local markets with many different ethnic tribes,  Pindaya with its thousands of buddhas and take a stunning train ride through the Southern Shan Hills.  Yangon with its wonderful old colonial architecture with its vibrant streets and markets and the spectacular Shwedagon Pagoda.

Whilst visiting all the above and more you will learn how to take great photos. I am there to teach you, coach you and help you put together a fantastic set of pictures. This is a workshop so it is all about photography. Our aim is to be in each place at the best time to get the best pictures.

Now is the time to go as it is opening up and there are more tourists every year. I first visited Burma in 1995 and the last trip was in February 2016.

I do believe in travelling responsibly and respect for the local communities wherever we are. Smiling is a big part of being in Myanmar, and a smile and a point to the camera wherever there is someone you want to photograph will almost always earn you a big smile back and a nod of the head. This trip is carefully planned and uses local guides who accompany us in each place.

The accommodation is in superior or deluxe rooms in at least 3 star hotels with private facilities, air con etc. and  quiet where possible but centrally located.

The tour excludes international flights and all meals except those indicated and tips. Food is Myanmar is generally very reasonable.

The most inexpensive way of getting to Myanmar is usually a return ticket to Bangkok and then another return ticket from Bangkok to Yangon with Air Asia. International flights now arrive at Suvarnabhumi airport but Air Asia flies from Don Mueang airport. Airport transfers are free but give yourself enough time.
